Home-Grown and Sustainable since 2006

Land Energy’s mission is to make high-quality, sustainable, home-grown products for heating, agriculture, gardening and animal care the natural first choice for UK homes and businesses.

Founded in 2006, Land Energy was seeded by a group of entrepreneurs passionate about doing something to reduce pollution caused by the UK’s energy industry. The initial focus was on biomass energy sources and creating a viable wood pellet manufacturing base.

Our Objective: Real Environmental Gain

Sustainably sourced wood fuels – alongside clean, UK-produced natural agricultural fertilisers, animal bedding and litter products – are central to our vision of balanced, resilient living.

We believe heating should be produced responsibly, as part of a wider system that supports the land, strengthens rural economies and delivers genuinely low-carbon outcomes.

For renewable energy to become mainstream, it must work in the real world. That means wood pellet and briquette energy must stand shoulder-to-shoulder with oil, LPG and gas – not just environmentally, but commercially and operationally.

We recognise that households and businesses face ongoing cost pressures. Renewable energy cannot be a premium niche; it must be fairly priced, reliable and underpinned by strong, UK-based supply chains that reduce reliance on imports and improve energy security.

It also needs to be simple to adopt and use. Biomass systems should offer the same convenience, flexibility and dependability as conventional fuels – making sustainable choices practical.

Over the past 15 years, the UK has built a high-quality wood pellet market from the ground up. But the job is far from finished. Meeting emissions targets – and doing so in a way that delivers Real Environmental Gain – requires continued commitment to local production, sustainable land management and integrated food and energy systems.

Land Energy is committed to accelerating this transition: championing home grown energy, supporting rural livelihoods and delivering real, measurable environmental benefit for the long term.
