At Land Energy, we’ve always believed that sustainability goes beyond the products we make. It’s also about how we treat our staff and the larger community we’re part of. That’s why we’re proud to share that Land Energy is now an accredited Living Wage Employer.
This accreditation recognises our ongoing commitment to ensuring every member of our team is paid a wage that truly reflects the real cost of living in the UK, no matter their position on the career ladder with us.
Why the Living Wage Matters
South Ayrshire has slightly higher levels of seasonal and low-paid work than the Scottish and UK average, with many of these roles linked to agriculture, seasonal tourism and the care sector. With 80% of our team living locally, we know how important fair, stable employment is for the wellbeing of families and communities.
By paying the Living Wage from day one, regardless of role, we’ve been able to provide not just secure jobs, but also greater mental, financial, and cultural stability for our employees. This investment in people has already led to higher morale and stronger engagement across the business, helping us create an even more positive workplace culture.
A Stronger, More Sustainable Future
Becoming an accredited Living Wage employer places Land Energy among 2,386 private sector employers in Scotland who have chosen to put fairness at the top of the agenda. It’s another step forward in our remit to create a more sustainable future, one built not only on renewable energy, but also on respect and opportunity for our staff.
