Land Energy Supports Volleyball
We’re delighted to announce our sponsorship of the South Ayrshire Volleyball Club, providing funding to help the club continue its fantastic work developing both junior and senior volleyball across the region.
Our contribution will go towards new club-branded sportswear, resources for volunteer coaches, and initiatives that encourage more local people to get involved in the sport.
Growing Volleyball in South Ayrshire
Based in Ayrshire, the club has a growing programme that includes two competitive senior men’s teams, with the 1st team competing in Scotland’s Premier Division and the 2nd team in Division 2. Alongside this, they run weekly junior sessions that feed into an under-18 team, as well as an inclusive adult recreational session that welcomes players of all genders and abilities.
It’s a setup that’s not just about competition, but also about community, participation, and personal development.
Supporting Local Talent
The club’s commitment to nurturing players is already paying off. Senior player Jack Rodger, for example, represented Scotland under-20s at the European Championships in Greece and has since gone on to join the Scotland senior men’s team. A fantastic achievement that highlights the potential of local sport and community sponsorship.
Club coach and player Chris Mexson said:
“This sponsorship is an important step in supporting our players and volunteers. With this backing we can provide a stronger identity for the club and continue to increase participation locally.”

“This year alone, Land Energy has donated £3,500 to community groups in Ayrshire and we’re now delighted to support the South Ayrshire Volleyball Club. Their commitment to player development and success on the national stage demonstrates the strength of community sport, and we’re proud to contribute to that journey.”
The club will continue to compete across the Scottish Premier Division, Division 2, under-18 leagues, and Scottish Cup competitions this season and Land Energy will be cheering them on every step of the way.
